ARTICLE 30 <br />HOLIDAYS <br />30.1 It is the policy of the County to observe holidays each year on <br />determined by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />The holidays which shall be observed under this policy are: <br />A. New Year's Day <br />B. Good Friday <br />C. Memorial Day <br />D. Independence Day <br />E. Labor Day <br />F. Veteran's Day <br />G. Thanksgiving Day <br />H. Day after Thanksgiving <br />I. Day before Christmas <br />J. Christmas Day <br />K. Personal Day (to be scheduled and approved in <br />department's vacation policy) <br />L. Any other holidays authorized by the Board of County C <br />30.2 Permanent employees will receive holiday pay whether or not they at <br />to work on the holiday. Permanent employees not normally sched <br />on the day of the week the holiday is being observed will receive <br />day's wage as holiday pay. An average day's wage is defined as ar <br />scheduled bi-weekly pay divided by ten days.
