The Motion <br />was seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, Mr. <br />Walker was requested to submit the names of persons recommended to <br />serve on this committee at that time. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded.by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, the Board approved a procedure,suggested <br />by the State Auditor, whereby all long distance calls on bills paid <br />by .the County be recorded on a telephone log and this turned over to <br />the Clerk each month. <br />,On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Haffield and unanimously carried, the Administrator was authorized to <br />advertise for bids for a new portable radio unit and also for a radio <br />for the new 1/2 ton pick-up truck. Commissioner Macdonald suggested <br />that theft insurance be taken out on the portable unit. <br />Commissioner Macdonald -moved, seconded by Commissioner McCullers <br />and carried, that the Board approve the Payrolls for State Witnesses, two <br />'one dated <br />' dated July 28, 1966, and /November 1, 1966 for Circuit Court and one <br />dated August 22, 1966 for County Court. <br />The monthly reports of the County Agent, the County Welfare Case . <br />Worker, the Veterans Service Officer and the Florida Division of <br />Corrections for the inspection of the Indian River County Jail were <br />received and placed on file. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />°Haffield, and unanimously carried, the Board approved the distribution <br />of the 1965-66 race track funds as follows: General Fund, $71,000.00; <br />Road and Bridge Fund, $205,000.00; and Fine and Forfeiture Fund, <br />$14,000.00; totalling $290,000.00. <br />A letter from Mrs. Betty B. Wintermute was read by the Clerk <br />regarding a drainage problem.. on 47th Avenue in Wabasso. The letter <br />was received and placed on file. <br />On Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Mc - <br />Cullers and unanimously carried, the application of Robert J.
