Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried. <br />Mrs. Ethel Klepp, Executive Director of the Economic Opportunity <br />Coun'of Indian River County, explained to the Board, the Child <br />Development Center program for underpriviledged children, which will <br />be financed without cost to the county. On Motion by Commissioner <br />Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Haffield, and unanimously carried, <br />the Clerk was authorized to write a letter, gas requested by Mts. Klepp, <br />stating that'"this program,has been brought to the attention of the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County and they wish <br />to state that <br />Commission is <br />it does not conflict with any parallel program that the <br />interested in, nor is there anything contemplated in the <br />• <br />near future in that field". <br />Mrs. Klepp then asked the Board to consider the Neighborhood <br />Youth Corps which provides part-time employment and training for needy <br />boys and girls in school, making it possible for'them to stay in school. <br />The program also covers dropouts (providing work on a full time basis <br />and going to school at night) and a summer program. Mrse Klepp was <br />informed that the Board has no jurisdiction over the offices of the <br />elected officials and that at the present time there are no suitable <br />vacancies in the Road and Bridge Department. They suggested that she <br />Contact the btfices of: the':eledtedL.officials. <br />The Board then interviewed,separately, three of the persons from <br />whom bids were received to operate the concession at the Sebastian <br />Inlet Park. Mt. Robert L. Dosh, President, and Mr. Meyers, :3member of <br />the Board of Directors of North Dade Equipment Leasing Corporation <br />d/b/a "Campers Paradise", and Mr. COM, who with his wife, would be <br />operator of the park, were introduced by Commissioner Macdonald. Mr. <br />Dosh then explained to the Board how they proposed to operate the facility. <br />Mr. Henry Thompson and Mr. Harold M.
