L <br /> Bags : <br /> 1 . Remove silt , sediment , and other particles from dewatering or <br /> pumping applications using a filter bag . The bag shall be <br /> manufactured using a polypropylene non -woven geotextile and sewn <br /> by a double-needle machine , using a - high strength nylon thread . The <br /> bag shall have a fill spout large enough to accommodate a 4-inch <br /> pump discharge hose . Straps shall be attached to the bag to secure <br /> the hose and prevent pumped water from escaping without being <br /> filtered . <br /> 2 . Installation : Install in accordance with the manufacturer' s <br /> specifications . Use as many filter bags as required , at no additional <br /> cost to the OWNER . Dispose of the bags offsite , at no cost to the <br /> OWNER . If the bags are placed on aggregate to facilitate filtration <br /> efficiency , do not use limerock aggregate . <br /> 3 . Filter stormwater before it enters curb inlets . <br /> 2 . Installation : Install in accordance with the manufacturer' s <br /> specifications . Use as many of the specified filtration devices as <br /> required , at no additional cost to the OWNER . <br /> 3 . Removal : The filtration devices shall be removed from the property by <br /> the Contractor upon completion of the project . <br /> 4 . Product: All materials shall be new and unused . The length of the <br /> curb inlet filtration device shall be at least 2-feet longer than the curb <br /> inlet opening . <br /> a . " GUTTERBUDDY , " supplied by ACF Environmental , Inc . ( 1 - <br /> 800-448-3636) . <br /> b . Or equivalent . <br /> E . Catch Basin Protection : <br /> 1 . Filter stormwater before it enters catch basins (drop inlets ) . The <br /> " sack" shall be manufactured from woven polypropylene geotextile <br /> and sewn by a double- needle machine , using a high strength nylon <br /> thread . The sack shall be manufactured to fit the opening of the catch <br /> basin or drop inlet and it shall have the following features : two dump <br /> straps attached at the bottom to facilitate emptying ; lifting loops as an <br /> integral part of the system to be used to lift the sack from the basin ; <br /> and a yellow restraint chord approximately halfway up the sack to <br /> keep the sides away from the catch basin walls . The yellow restraint <br /> chord shall also serve as a visual means of indicating when the sack <br /> should be emptied . <br /> 2 .
