1 <br /> 34 <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> HMIS TECEMCLAN <br /> MAJOR FUNCTION : Responsible for all activities related to the management and <br /> maintenance of the Homeless Management Information System. <br /> REPORTS TO : Executive Director <br /> CLASSIFICATION : Contract Employee <br /> 1 . Maintains state of the art familiarity with Bowman HMIS software, including upgrades, <br /> functionality and limitations . <br /> 2 . Conducts periodic/scheduled, on-site visits to end users to address training issues, <br /> maintain hardware, assure adherence to established security measures and educate about <br /> software capabilities . <br /> 3 . Provides help desk and technical assistance support to all end users, including regularly <br /> scheduled training sessions to the Continuum and other agencies as requested . <br /> 4 . Provides on going support to the HMIS End Users ' Committee. <br /> 5 . Serves as liaison with the Bowman Internet Systems Technical Staff. <br /> 6 . Schedules and conducts training for all HMIS end user licensees . <br /> 7 . Conducts post-training follow-ups to assess HMIS end user needs for specialized <br /> reporting capacity. <br /> 8 . Provides input into the HMIS security, standards and practices development process and <br /> updates security alerts and guidelines for the Continuum. <br /> 9 . Provides weekly routine activity reports for the Continuum of Care planning process, as <br /> requested or approved by the Executive Director. <br /> 10 . Provides specialized reporting capability, specialized intake and assessment functions and <br /> other system wide reports and data fields as requested by the Executive Director. <br /> 11 . Maintains the database for the Community Guide Website, www . tchelpspot. org <br /> MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS <br /> 1 . Five years experience working with computers and databases . <br /> 2 . Two years experience working as Training/Help Desk function. <br /> 3 . Electronics or other "Bench Tech" Experience . <br /> 4 . Able to communicate in a user-friendly fashion. <br />
