i <br /> 1 .07 <br /> STORAGE AND PROTECTION <br /> A . Store products in accordance with manufacturer's instructions , <br /> with seals and labels intact and legible . <br /> B . Store sensitive products in weather-tight enclosures ; maintain <br /> within temperatures and humidity ranges recommended/required <br /> by manufacturer' s instructions. <br /> C . For exterior storage of fabricated products , place on sloped <br /> supports above ground . Cover products subject to deterioration <br /> with impervious sheet covering ; provide ventilation to avoid <br /> condensation . <br /> D . Store loose granular materials on solid surfaces in a well-drained <br /> area ; prevent mixing with foreign matter. <br /> E . Arrange storage to provide access for inspection . Periodically <br /> ' inspect to assure products are undamaged , and are maintained <br /> under required conditions . <br /> F . After installation , provide coverings to protect products from <br /> damage from traffic and construction operations , remove when no <br /> longer needed . <br /> 1 .08 PRODUCT OPTIONS <br /> A. Within 30 days after date of Contract, submit complete list of <br /> major products proposed , with name of manufacturer, trade name <br /> and model . <br /> B . Options : <br /> 1 . Products specified only be reference standard : Any <br /> product meeting that standard . <br /> • . 2 . Product specked by naming several manufacturers : <br /> Product of any named manufacturer meeting <br /> specifications . <br /> 3 . Products specified by naming one or more manufacturers <br /> and "or equal" : Submit a request for substitution for any <br /> manufacturer not specifically named . <br /> 1 .09 SUBSTITUTIONS <br /> A. Only within 30 days after date of Contract will Engineer consider <br /> requests from Contractor for substitutions .
