Nothing further has been received from Mr. Engler." <br />During the discussion, Commissioner Macdonald pointed out that Mr. Engler <br />has been in communication with the Wabasso Civic Club for months and <br />that their letters to him, after the present tenant gave up their lease, <br />Pave not been answered. Commissioner Macdonald moved that the Administrator <br />notify Mr. Engler that the County had not taken any action on demolishing <br />the buildings, and, if he would care to present a bon fide offer to the <br />Board, it would be considered, Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and unanimously carried. <br />The Administrator presented a letter from Mr. N. E. "Bill" Miller, <br />Director of the Board of Parks and Historic Memorials, dated December 20, <br />1966, stating that the Board's request for an inspection of Round Island <br />Park will be given top priority right after the holidays. <br />A letter from Mr. James T. Vocelle, City Attorney, was read by <br />the County Administrator, in which the City Council asks that a letter <br />from the Federal Aviation'Agency (dated November 16, 1966, and a copy <br />enclosed) be called to the attention of the County Commissioners, in <br />connection with any help that the County may be able to give in the <br />development of the airport (Mr. Jennings was requested to mail copies <br />of the FAA letter to members of the board for their consideration.) <br />The request from General Development Corporation regarding the <br />agreement of extending the performance bond for Vero Beach Highlands, <br />Unit 2, was referred to the County Attorney for recommendation. <br />General Development Corporation, having requested the County' to <br />accept the streets and drainage structures in Vero Shores Unit No, 1, <br />Mr. Jennings reported that he has recently examined same and finds every <br />thing up to standards or above County subdivision requirements., and rec- <br />dommends the acceptance of the streets. After discussion, Commissioner <br />Macdonald, on the recommendation of the County Administrator,.moved that <br />the roads and drainage structures, contained within the plat limits of <br />Vero Shores Unit #1, as.,recorded in Plat Book 5e page 52, public records <br />of Indian River County, Florida, be accepted by the County for maintenance.
