SECTION 01040 <br />PROJECT COORDINATION <br />1.1 SCOPE <br />A. CONTRACTOR shall be solely responsible for coordination (including <br />scheduling) of all of work to insure completion of the Work within the Contract <br />Time. Supervise, direct, and fully cooperate with all subcontractors, <br />manufacturers, fabricators, suppliers, distributors, installers, testing agencies, <br />and all others whose services, materials, or equipment are required, including <br />the work of any other contractor, utility service company, or OWNER'S <br />employees performing additional work related to the Project. <br />Be Maintain sufficient competent personnel, drafting equipment, and supplies at the <br />site for the purpose of preparing layout and coordination drawings. These <br />drawings shall supplement the Contract Documents, working drawings, and <br />Shop Drawings as necessary, to correlate the work of various trades. Where <br />such drawings are to be prepared by subcontractors, ensure that each <br />subcontractor maintains the required personnel and facilities at the site. <br />Co Attend and participate in all project meetings and report on the progress of all <br />work and compliance with schedules. <br />1.2 MISCELLANEOUS COORDINATION <br />A. Prepare and discuss an emergency preparation and restoration plan to address <br />eventualities such as tropical storms and hurricanes. <br />Be Provide all parties with an emergency 24-hour telephone number. <br />C. Notify local law enforcement agencies before closing one or more lanes of traffic <br />for periods exceeding one hour. <br />D. Safely conduct the public through the permitted work area from the time work <br />begins to the time of final completion.
