SECTION 01091 <br />REFERENCE STANDARDS <br />1.1 GENERAL <br />A. Whenever reference is made to the furnishing of materials or testing thereof to <br />conform to the standards of any technical society, organization or body, it shall be <br />construed to mean the latest standard, code, specification or tentative specification <br />adopted and published at the date of advertisement for bids, even though reference <br />has been made to an earlier standard. When a reference standard is specified, <br />comply with requirements and recommendations stated in that standard, except <br />when they are modified by the Contract Documents, or when applicable laws, <br />ordinances, rules, regulations or codes establish stricter standards.
