L <br />SECTION 01720 <br />RECORD DOCUMENTS <br />1.1 GENERAL <br />A. Maintain and provide the ENGINEER with record documents as specified below, <br />except where otherwise specified or modified in the Supplementary Conditions or <br />elsewhere herein. <br />B. Maintenance of Documents: <br />1. Maintain complete sets of record documents in the field office in clean, dry, <br />legible condition. "Record Documents" include but are not limited to: Drawings <br />(including Contract Drawings, Record Drawings, and electronic files of Record <br />Drawings), Specifications, Addenda, approved Shop Drawings, Design <br />Drawings, samples, photographs, Change Orders, other modifications of <br />Contract Documents, test records, survey data, Field Orders, and all other <br />documents pertinent to CONTRACTOR'S Work. <br />2. Provide files and racks for proper storage and easy access. <br />3. Make documents available at all times for inspection by ENGINEER, <br />ENGINEER's CONSULTANT, and OWNER. <br />4. Do not use record documents for any other purpose and do not remove them <br />from the field office. <br />D. Recording: <br />1. Label each document "PROJECT RECORD" in 2 -inch high printed letters. <br />2. Keep record documents current. <br />3. Do not permanently conceal any Work until required information has been <br />recorded. <br />1.2 RECORD DRAWINGS <br />A. During the entire construction operation, maintain records of all deviations from the <br />Drawings and Specifications and prepare therefrom, "Record Drawings" showing <br />correctly and accurately, all changes and deviations from the Work made during <br />construction, to reflect the Work as it was actually constructed. <br />B. Mark whichever drawing is most capable of showing the constructed condition fully <br />and accurately; however, where shop drawings are used for mark-up, record a <br />cross-reference at the corresponding location on the contract drawings. Mark-up <br />new information that is recognized to be of importance to the OWNER, but was not <br />shown on either the contract drawings or shop drawings.
