Be Admixtures are permitted in accordance with FDOT Standard Specifications for Road <br />and Bridge Construction, 2007, Section 346-2.5. <br />Co Except where shown on the plans, slabs on grade, and walks shall be reinforced with <br />Fibermesh, as manufactured by SI Concrete Systems, or approved equal. <br />D. Use forms of either wood or metal with a depth equal to the Plan dimensions forthe depth <br />of concrete being deposited against them, as shown on the construction drawings. Forms <br />shall be straight, free from warp or bends, and of sufficient strength when staked to resist <br />the pressure of the concrete without deviation from line and grade. Clean the forms each <br />time they are used, and oil or saturate with water prior to placing the concrete. <br />E. Preformed Joint Filler: Preformed joint filler shall be nonextruding and resilient <br />bituminous type and shall conform to the requirements of Section 932-1, FDOT Standard <br />Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2007. <br />F. Joint Sealer: Joint sealer shall conform to the requirements of Section 932-1.2, FDOT <br />Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2007, <br />G. Membrane Curing Compound: Membrane curing compound shall conform to the <br />requirements of Section 925.2, FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge <br />Construction, 2007, <br />PART 3 -- EXECUTION <br />3.01 PREPARATION <br />A. The foundation shall be excavated or backfilled to the required depth. Compact the <br />foundation material upon which the slabs on grade or sidewalk is to be set to, at least 98 <br />percent of the maximum density as determined by AASHTO T-180 or 100 percent of the <br />maximum density as determined by AASHTO T-99,, with an even surface, true to line, <br />grade and cross section, and soaking wet at the concrete is placed. <br />Be Forms: Set the forms straight, free from wrap or bends, and true to line and grade. <br />C. Slipforming: The slipforming method will be allowed, provided that an acceptable finished <br />product, true to line, grade, and cross section is consistently produced. <br />3.02 MIXING CONCRETE <br />A. Concrete shall be mixed in accordance with FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and <br />Bridge Construction, 2007, Section 346-7. <br />3.03 INSTALLATION <br />A.
