The Administrator <br />stated that Mr. Beidler of the Mosquito Control Board has reviewed the <br />plat,and,has o£fered:;tiol.objectionsd •.A£ter':discussion, Motion was made <br />by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Coanrtissioner Bogosian and un- <br />animously carried, that the Board finally approves the plat of the <br />subdivision of Summerplace Unit No. 3, as submitted herewith, upon the <br />finding that private streets are allowed in all the other platted sub- <br />divisions, except Cocoplum Lane; and that as to all said private streets, <br />there shall be no maintenance or improvements by the County; and accepts <br />the public dedication for Cocoplum Lane as shown on said plat; all <br />contingent upon the subdivider, Summerplace Homes, Inc., a Florida <br />corporation, depositing with the Clerk of this Board cash in the -sum <br />of $5,600.00 to guarantee the construction of all improvements contem- <br />plated by the plat and the County subdivision requirements, to be <br />completed within six months from this date, except Cocoplum Lane; and <br />contingent upon the subdivider filing with the Clerk of this Board a <br />bond,with surety byiacompany authorized in Florida to act as surety, <br />in the sum of $4,000.00, contingent upon the subdivider constructing <br />and paving Cocoplum Lane with a soil cement base and paving surface in <br />accordance with County Subdivision Regulations, to be completed within <br />two (2) years from this date. <br />Mr. D. L. Bolen, representing Atlantic -Richfield Company, an oil <br />company, appeared before the Board requesting that his company be granted <br />permission to drill for minerals along the County rights-of-way. Mr. <br />Bolen stated this is done to determine where the valuable mineral deposits, <br />are located.and that he was primarily interested in the western portion <br />of the County. The Board pointed out to Mr. Bolen that much of that <br />particular area is marshland and a great part now owned by the Central <br />and Southern Florida Flood Control District. After discussion, Com- <br />missioner Macdonald suggested that the matter be tabled until the next <br />meeting to let Mr. Bolen look over the County to see if he wants to <br />continue his request. <br />FEB 81967 <br />BOOK 10 PACE 243 <br />
