Mr. Don Adams, Chairman of the Indian Chief's Building Program <br />for the new football stadium, appeared before the Board and requested <br />the Board to give consideration to help finance the cost of construction <br />of the stadium. The Board informed Mr. Adams that there were no funds <br />available in the present budget; but that they would consider the request <br />in next years budget. On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded , <br />by Commissioner Dritenbas, the following Resolution was unanimously <br />adopted: <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 67-19 <br />WHEREAS, the Indian Chiefs, an organization of citizens of the <br />County are spearheading a drive to construct a new football stadium <br />at Vero Beach High School; and, <br />WHEREAS, this Board is heartily in accordance with the objectives <br />and desires to see such a new stadium constructed; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Indian River County, Florida, that this Board does, endorse this <br />project and urges the citizens of the County to support the Indian <br />Chiefs in their drive for funds for the construction of a new football <br />stadium at Vero Beach High School. <br />**************************** <br />Mrs. Betty Wingate, representing the Fellsmere Little League <br />Ball Club, appeared before the Board stating they were badly in need <br />of money to carry on their program.
