Commissioner Dritenbas nominated Bruce McCullough to replace <br />Arthur R. Jones as a._member of the Planning and Zoning Commission of <br />Indian River County, to serve a term at the pleasure of the Board. On <br />roll call he was unanimously elected. <br />On the recommendation of the County Attorney,<Commissioner Bogosian <br />moved that the Board pay the City and County taxes for the year 1966 <br />on the Pohorsky Estate property (Lot 25, Block 1, Little Acre Farms S/D) <br />before April 1 to prevent the assessment of penalties and interest that <br />would accrue in order to protect the interest of the County in the <br />property. Motion was seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously <br />carried. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and unanimously carried, that the Board accepts for maintenance <br />by the County the platted dedication of the public road shown on the <br />plat of Lake Park Subdivision, as recorded in the`:office of the Clerk <br />of the Circuit Court in Plat Book 3, page 12; and that the Board accepts <br />the road right of way deed from William C. Beuscher and Lulu Beuscher, <br />his wife, to the County, dated June 6, 1966, recorded in Official Record <br />Book 231, page 75, and approves the recording thereof; and herewith <br />accepts the dedication of both the platted part and the deed -conveyed <br />part which is;:..now known as 50th Avenue, extending from State Road 60, <br />north to Walker Avenue, for maintenance by the County. <br />Commissioner Dritenbas presented a Petition signed by fifteen <br />property owners requesting the Board to accept for maintenance 10th <br />Place from Sixteenth Avenue to Twentieth Aveue. No action was taken. <br />The Board then recessed at 12:00 noon and reconvened at 1:15. P. M. <br />The County Administrator informed the Board of a 124 acre parcel <br />of land which could be purchased for a proposed sanitary land fill <br />in the Fellsmere-Sebastian Roseland area. After discussion, the Board <br />requested the Administrator to explore other areas before taking any <br />action on this offer. <br />MAR 2 219x` <br />
