The County Administrator reported that the right of way, has been <br />flagged for the extension of North Winter Beach Road between Rangeline <br />and Ranch Roads, and that there are Florida Power and Light poles which <br />will be nine feet from the edge of the pave ant, creating a construction <br />prdblem and a traffic hazard. After discussion, Commissioner Macdonald <br />moved that the County Administrator be requested to instruct Florida <br />Power and Light Company to ove the poles to a position within seven <br />feet of the north right of way line. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and unanimously carried. <br />The County Adinistrator presented a proposal from Jackson Brothers <br />for 30' additional right of way on 43rd Avenue between North and South <br />Gifford roads, in the vicinity of the new school. A discussion followed <br />on the cost to_the County of the removal of approximately 300 Australian <br />pine trees. The Board agreed that they should be removed by county <br />forces so long as it does not interfere with other work to be done in <br />the County. After further discussion; Commissioner Macdonald moved <br />that the Board accept the proposal as set forth in the letter from the <br />owners, Jackson Brothers, dated April 4, 1967. Motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullirs and unanimously carried. <br />Motion was ade by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Bogosian and unanimously c::rried, that the county payroll procedures be <br />changed, effective April 14, 1967, so that the class of county employees <br />now being paid on a semi-:onthly basis ;',ay in the future be paid on a <br />bi-weekly basis. <br />The County Administrator requested permission to cooperate with <br />the State Road Department in remiaing the2bridge over the canal at the <br />intersection of Oslo .Road and Cleanns Avenue which has settled. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner. <br />Dritenbas and unanimously carried, that the Administrators request to <br />join with the State in repairing the bridge be authorized. <br />The Administrator advised the Board that he has received a request <br />that the County cut down soe trees around the edge of the Winter Beach <br />Cemetery, Tha: cemeteryL'istraintaaihedy by the Winter Beach Cemetery <br />Association. After discussion, it was moved by Commissioner McCullers, <br />seconded by Commissioner Macdonald and unanimously carried, that the <br />request be granted because of the fact. that the County uses the cemetery <br />for burial of paupers, at no cost to the County. <br />APR 5 1967 lox 10 w3 <br />
