• <br />Motion was Fade by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas, and until ously carried, that the Board agrees to accept <br />for Maintenance by the County the street separating Blocks 3 and 4 <br />od the Plat of Glendale Park, recorded in Plat Book 1, page 87, Indian <br />River County rdcords1 after the owner, Floyd R. Taylor,, has improved <br />the street according to the existing County Subdivision regulations. <br />It was oved by Com <br />issioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried, that the Administrator be authorized <br />to install a light at the Oslo Dump and also"to advise Mr. Henry Allen <br />to immediately vacate the county property and take his junk with him. <br />Mr. Homer C. Fletcher and Mr. Troy E. Moody appeared before the <br />Board and Mr. Fletcher $taitedt:thatetheJthree pieces of equipment which <br />the Board had previously authorized him to.acquire :are so highly adapt <br />able -for joint use with the Tax Collector, and that Mr. Moody is desirous <br />of sharing in the cost of the equipment, utilizing funds within his <br />budget. After discussion, Commissioner Dritenbas moved that the Tax <br />Collector be allowed to share in the cost of the equipment and also <br />{ <br />share the'use of the equipment. Motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />4 <br />McCullers and unanimously carried. <br />Commissioner Macdonald brought up the report of the Air and Water <br />Resources Committee of the East Central Florida Regional Planning <br />Council, dated March 30, calling to the Board°s attention one particular <br />recommendation of the committee.."Encourage the elected officials of <br />Lake, Osceola, and Indian River Countftes to initiate basic geological <br />investigations in their respective counties,.°°fI <br />Coissioner Macdonald <br />suggested that a committee be appointed to investigate this matter. <br />The Chairman appointed Commissioner Macdonald, Edgerton Carter, Robert <br />F. Lloyd, Dr. C. B. Britton, John Sellers, Olin Pippin, B. J. McCullers, <br />and Jack U. Dritenbas to serve on the committee. <br />MdSidn was ,',,ade by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and Unanimously carried, that reasonable expenses of the <br />committee, subh as travel, secretarial, and postage be authorized. <br />On Motion by Commissioner McCullers,.ieconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald and unanimously carried, the request of Mr. Thomas H.
