E . 18 March 2005 Page 4 ASSUMPTIONS During the preparation of this proposal, GeoSyntec has made the following assumptions : • Access to sampling locations is not restricted to GeoSyntec . • All sampling can be performed in Level D personal protective equipment. • GeoSyntec will be able to work unimpeded between Monday and Friday from 7 am - 7 pm. • GeoSyntec and/or subcontractors will hand auger to a minimum depth of 5 ft BLS in an effort to located buried utilities prior to advancing borings . However, we assume that IRCFM will clear/mark utilities prior to GeoSyntec ' s arrival onsite and will "clear" each drilling location prior to GeoSyntec performing subsurface activities . Unmarked utilities that are damaged will not be GeoSyntec ' s responsibility. • GeoSyntec has assumed that liquids generated during the well development and sampling will be discharged directly onto the ground adjacent to the monitoring well (for percolation or evaporation) . • GeoSyntec has assumed that the DPT soil and groundwater investigation and well installations can be completed in one day. • GeoSyntec has assumed that top-of-casing elevations will not be surveyed by a professional licensed surveyor at this time . ESTIMATED COSTS GeoSyntec proposes to complete the proposed scope of work on a lump sum basis . The lump sum cost for the full scope of work (including SPLP analysis) and preparation of a letter report is $8,300 , the lump sum cost for completing the scope of work and letter report, but not performing SPLP analysis is $7,950 . Any tasks which IRCFM requests which are outside the defined scope of work will be completed in accordance with the hourly rate schedule negotiated with Indian River County .
