6� <br />ATTACHMENT I <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />UTILTITIES DEPARTMENT <br />ROCKRIDGE SEWER SYSTEM <br />VACUUM SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />ARCADIS will provide professional engineering services for the planning, design and services during <br />construction for the vacuum sewer system improvements for the Rockridge Subdivision as outlined on the <br />enclosed exhibit and is for Indian River County (CLIENT). This is to be referred to as the PROJECT to which <br />this SCOPE applies. The services to the CLIENT will include serving as the Professional Engineer for the <br />PROJECT, providing professional engineering consultation and advice in furnishing customary engineering <br />services in relation to the planning, design, permitting, and construction services for the Rockridge Subdivision <br />Project. <br />PROJECT <br />A vacuum sanitary sewer system will be designed for the collection of wastewater along the rights-of-way <br />within the Rockridge Subdivision. This project will require the construction of approximately 20,000 linear <br />feet of vacuum sewer piping complete with approximately 210 valve chambers and all necessary surface <br />restoration. The project will also include a vacuum pump station and force main from the vacuum pump <br />station to the existing force main system. Plans for removing the existing low pressure system from service will <br />also be included. <br />A. Preliminary Design Phase <br />Data Gathering, Evaluation and Preliminary Design <br />This task focuses on obtaining the necessary preliminary information required to prepare detailed <br />engineering plans and specifications. <br />Collect data available on existing facilities, including field conditions, record drawings, force <br />main location, operating pressures, pipe size and current flow conditions. <br />2. Meet with appropriate CLIENT staff to discuss project requirements for road restoration, <br />acquisition of easements, land purchase, construction details, temporary flow monitoring <br />installations, standard equipment, and construction documents. <br />3. Deliverable - Preliminary Design Report (Memorandum) <br />Prepare a design memorandum outlining all of the design criteria to be used during the design <br />of the vacuum sewer collection system. This report shall be agreed upon by both parties as the <br />design criteria for the project. <br />Page I of 17 <br />
