of the submerged land which he purchased from the Trustees of the
<br />Internal improvement Fund, lying West of State Road A -1-A and adjacent
<br />to Lots 1 and 2, Ambersand Beach Subdivision, for $800.00, which is
<br />his cost of acquiring these submerged lands from the State of Florida;
<br />and the Board further signifies its willingness to make such purchases
<br />,from all other land owners in the vicinity on the same basis; and that
<br />the deed of conveyance shall contain a provision that the land shall
<br />be forever used by the County for public use and purpose.
<br />Mr. 'Smith also stated that when the right of way tothe ocean -,.--`-
<br />was cleared on First Street that some,of the trees on his property
<br />were destroyed. The County Administrator was requested to check into
<br />this matter.
<br />Mr, Richard Tarbox of the Bast Central Florida Regional Planning
<br />Council and Mr. Harry Lindsey of the Department of Housing and Urban
<br />Development (HUD discussed with the Board the role of the Planning
<br />Council in applications for Federal Assistance by public bodies in
<br />the County.
