The Chairman read the foregoing Notice and bids were received <br />and opened as follows: <br />George Stuart, Inc. Orlando, Florida ......17.Desk- $ 270.00 <br />2- Sec'y chair 55.00 Ea. <br />Work Counter 2590.00 <br />O'Haire's Office Equipment 1- Desk $ 223.00 <br />2- Secy Chairs 96.70 <br />Counter 1984.00 <br />Dotherow Office Supply Co., Orlando, Fla Counter.... $2525.84 <br />Bowen Supply Co., Inc., Plant City, Fla, 2- Secy chairs $104.20 <br />Counter $1999.90 <br />Morse's, Vero Beach, Fla. Desk and 2 Secy <br />chair $333.20 <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Dritenbas, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried, that the Board accepts <br />the low bid of O'Haire's Office Equipment for the counter, desk and _ <br />chairs, providing.it meets the required specifications. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and unanimously carried, that the Supervisor of Elections <br />be authorized to purchase an air -conditioner, not to exceed $300.00. <br />Mr. Ed Massey appeared before the Board and questioned why the <br />pavillion at the Wabasso Beach Park had been removed and stated there <br />was no place now for the citizens to sit and get out of the sun. The <br />Board informed Mr. Massey that it had been removed because it was a <br />fire hazard and the Chairman requested Commissioner Macdonald to see <br />if something could be worked out. <br />Hospital Trustee Roland Miller appeared before the Board and <br />requested payment of Indigent Hospitalizations totaling $3,932.07. <br />It was explained to him that the money in the account for the Hospital- <br />ization for Indigent Program was all gone and that there were no other <br />funds in the budget for Indigent Hospitalization. Mr. Miller also <br />requested that a member of the Board be appointed to work with the <br />Hospital Trustees and the Welfare Department in regard to this program. <br />Commissioner McCullers was appointed by the Chairman. <br />JUL 1 21357 <br />
