• <br />The Chairman read the foregoing. Notice and bids were received and <br />opened as follows: <br />Fred Coyne Chevrolet (1968 model) <br />w/ airconditioning <br />Arnold Ford Sales (1967 model) <br />w/ airconditioning <br />$1,941.15 <br />$2,256.55 <br />$1,°79.88 <br />$1,979.88 <br />Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dritenbas and carried that the low bid of Arnold Ford <br />Sales of $1,739.88 (without air-conditioning) be accepted, subject <br />to the County Administrators certification that it meets bid specif- <br />ications. <br />The Board received a letter, dated August 2, 1967, from <br />Robert Parker, Director, Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund <br />in reply to Resolution No. 67-41, requesting them to dedicate in perpetuit: <br />the bottom lands lying within the area described as the 'Proposed <br />Enlargement of the Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge'. Also <br />enclosed were copies of previous minutes of the Trustees in regard <br />to this same request which had been considered by them on July 16, 1963. <br />Discussion was postponed until the return of the County Attorney. <br />On Motion by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Dritenbas and carried, the transfer of a typewriter from the Road and <br />Bridge Department to the Indian River County Health Department was <br />authorized. <br />A petition was received from residents of Ixora Park Sub- <br />division asking that the County do something regarding the disturbance <br />created by Joe Woodcock doing mechanical work in his carport during <br />all hours of the night and who has junked vehicles around his home, <br />in an area zoned R-1, Residential. The petition was turned over <br />to the County Attorney to determine what can be done to remedy such <br />situations. <br />It was moved by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Dritenbas and carried that the Board request a firm <br />price from Netto Construction Company for improving a portion of the <br />second story of the Courthouse Annex to be used for the County Agent's <br />office, subject to the opinion of the County Attorney as to whether <br />or not additional work in the Annex can be handled by a change order.. <br />AUG . 2 X967 f <br />100.1t 10 Pacc442 <br />
