The Board discussed at length Chapter 67-2199 dealing with <br />mailed questionnaires to prospective jurors. No action was taken. <br />At this point, the Board was informed of the death of former <br />County Commissioner J. J. P. Hamilton, and members of the Board stood <br />in a moment of silent prayer. On Motion by Commissioner Macdonald, <br />seconded by Commissioner McCullers, the following Resolution was <br />unanimously adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 67-56 <br />• WHEREAS, this Board has been advised while in session that the <br />Honorable J. J. P. Hamilton is dead and the members of this Board desire to <br />make a matter of record his public service and to extend their condolences <br />to his widow and children; Now, therefore, <br />THIS MEMORIAL RESOLUTION is adopted by the Board of County <br />'Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida, honoring a past member of <br />this Board who devoted twenty-one (21) years of service to the citizens of <br />this County as a member of the Board of County Commissioners, for which <br />this Board, for itself as well as for the people of Indian River County, does <br />hereby make this public record of this long and faithful service and the <br />sorrow of the members of this Board on his death and their expression of <br />sympathy to his widow and children in their bereavement; and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolu- <br />tion be forwarded to Mr. Hamilton's widow and to each of his children. <br />• <br />SEP 2 0 1967 <br />8.111111. 146E484 <br />•/ <br />
