C'crRr-c rei- 9/3a b f-- eviv 72.c, <br />Mrs. Gladys Vigliano, County Welfare Case Worker appeared before the <br />Board with a request for nursing home care for Bobby Collins, a thirteen <br />year old boy with muscular dystrophy. On recommendation by Mrs. Vigliano, <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner McCullers <br />and unanimously carried that request be granted. Mrs. Vigliano reported <br />that Indian River Nursing Home had increased their fee to $285.00 per <br />month, and also submitted her annual report to the Board. <br />The Chairman Announced that after making an inspection, the Board <br />had agreed to leaving the office of Civil Defense and the County Agent's <br />office as they are and all that would be necessary is a holding room for <br />the Sheriff at an estimated cost of $825.00. On Motion by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Dritenbas and unanimously carried <br />the Administrator was given authorization to make the necessary <br />alterations to provide for the holding room for the Sheriff. <br />A request by Thomas Trent, Civil Defense Director for a new air - <br />conditioner was denied at this time. <br />A letter dated October 3, 1967 was received from Ottie Roach, Fire <br />Marshall of the City of Vero Beach, stating that the locks on all interior <br />doors and exit doors on the Courthouse Annex do not comply to the Life <br />Safety Code - 1967 Edition, National Fire Protection Association and <br />should be corrected as soon as possible. Commissioner Dritenbas moved <br />that the Administrator be authorized to make necessary corrections through <br />the architect to get the doors to comply with the code: The Motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried. <br />A letter was received from The Employers' Group of Insurance Companies <br />dated September 20, 1967 recommending that all doors in the courthouse <br />swing outward to facilitate exit !from the building.. <br />our <br />4 <br />s <br />I tar 1 PAG* n <br />
