BACKGROUND : <br /> In September of 2004, Hurricanes Francis and Jeanne severely damaged the Wabasso <br /> Beach Park . The storms destroyed the Park ' s boardwalk, restrooms , pavilions and <br /> portion of the parking area and roadway within the Park. Indian River County Public <br /> Works Department is seeking services of an Architectural Firm to provide <br /> professional services for the Scope of Work for the Design and Construction <br /> Administration of three (3) — 20 ft. x 20 ft. Pavilions structures, two (2) — 20ft.x 35ft. <br /> Restroom structures and two (2) —10 ft.xl0ft. Shower structures together with <br /> associate landscape, irrigation, site lighting, electrical, water and sewer facilities at <br /> the Wabasso Beach Park per conceptual plan Alternate Number 2 as prepared by <br /> Coastal Tech dated 08/03/05 . <br /> The County has retained Donadio & Associates, Architects, P .A. to perform the <br /> Architectural/Engineering Services for the Design, Bidding, Bid Evaluation and <br /> Construction Administration of the Park structures as per conceptual plan Alternate <br /> Number 2 as prepared by Coastal Tech dated 08/03/05 . <br /> 2, SCOPE OF SERVICES: <br /> This proposal is based upon the provision of the following Scope of Services: <br /> A. SCHEMATIC DESIGN PHASE <br /> The Consultant shall assist the County in establishing limits of the various project <br /> elements, ascertain the requirements of the project and shall arrive at a mutual <br /> understanding of such requirements with the County. Based on this understanding <br /> the Consultant shall prepare Schematic Design Documents consisting of drawings and <br /> outline specifications. Drawings and technical specifications shall be at least 30 <br /> percent complete at this phase as determined by the County. <br /> B. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE <br /> Based on the approved Schematic Design Documents and any adjustments authorized <br /> by the County in the program schedule or construction budget, the Consultant shall <br /> prepare, for approval by the County, Design Development Documents consisting of <br /> drawings and other documents to describe the character of the project as to <br /> Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Utility systems, materials, Landscaping and <br /> such other elements and related items as may be appropriate. Drawings and technical <br /> specifications shall be at least 60 percent complete at this phase as determined by the <br /> County. The Consultant shall submit an opinion of probable construction cost at this <br /> phase . <br />
