The Administrator read a letter dated December 19, 1967 from <br />The Indian River Mosquito Control District proposing that they <br />lease their 3/4 yard Link Belt Speeder LS -68S dragline with bucket <br />to Indian River County for $1,000.00 per year, payable monthly, <br />for five years providing that the County keeps the machine in good <br />working condition and assumes liability and insurance; thereafter <br />it may be leased on a year to year basis for $100.00 per year <br />payable monthly. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and carried, with Commissioner Bogosian <br />voting against the Motion, that the proposal be accepted and that <br />the Administrator request the Mosquito Control District that the <br />dragline be delivered immediately. <br />On:a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried the Administrator <br />was authorized to advertise for bids for an additional five hundred <br />lineal feet of well point equipment in the landfill area at a cost <br />of between six and seven thousand dollars. <br />A Resolution adopted by the Vero Beach Jaycees urging the <br />County to set up.county inspection stations as enacted in the Auto <br />Safety Inspection Law, Chapter 67-307, Laws of Florida; was <br />received and placed on file in the office of the Clerk. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried the Administrator <br />was authorized to purchase two bush hogs as necessary during the <br />fiscal year, not to exceed a cost of $500.00 each. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullez and unanimously carried the Administrator <br />was authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of two compact <br />cars for which there will be a trade-in of one sedan. <br />eon 10 p61552 <br />PFG 20 1967 <br />3 <br />
