CLARIFICATIONS / CORRECTIONS/QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES
The following questions (with responses) have been received by Indian River County:
QUESTION NO. 1
Our site work subs have done take off on dirt needed on line item #120-6-1 on bid schedule. They are
coming you with 40,000cy to do the embankment. On addendum 1 you have 36,950cy. I think that is
low and it will cause a problem as the job moves forward.
ANSWER NO. 1
Please note that the total quantity of embankment required to meet the proposed grades includes
items 120-6-1, 120-6-2, 162-2, 162-3. This total quantity accounts for more than the 40,000cy
calculated.
QUESTION NO. 2
Would we be able to get a copy of the soils report?
ANSWER NO. 2
Yes, the soils report is attached.
QUESTION NO. 3
Is there any more information you can provide to clarify the "100% sterile" requirement for the mulch?
ANSWER NO. 3
The 100% sterile mulch must be comprised of all plant material. It must be free from any trash or
inorganic debris.
QUESTION NO. 4
How can we arrange a field visit to view the baffles that need to be repaired on the rifle range?
ANSWER NO. 4
The Project Engineer, Etienne Bourgeois, P.E. 772.226.1931, ebourgeoisPircgov.com, should be
contacted directly to arrange for a site visit. The baffles can be viewed when the rifle range is "cold"
between shooting sessions. Any contractor that visits the site without the Engineer, must check-in at.
the Range Office before entering any wooded areas.
Page2ofS
F ,Public Works`•,ENGINEERING DIVISION PROJECTS 1\1213 -IRC Shooting Range -Skeet ez Trap Improvemnts & l'IUnt8i5 Train Bidr`•.;\dmim\bid
