WEDNESDAY JANUARY 1Q,1968 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida met in regular session at the courthouse, Vero Beach, <br />Florida on Wednesday January 10, 1968, at 8:30 o'clock A. M. <br />Present were Robert-W..Graves, Chairman; D. B. McCullers, Vice - <br />Chairman; Donaid Macdonald, Jack U. Dritenbas and Richard P. <br />Bogosian, Also present were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; <br />Sherman N. Smith, County Attorney; and' Alfred H. Webber and Janet <br />N. Burriss, Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and asked for the <br />reorganization of the Board. On a Motion made by Commissioner <br />Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried <br />the present Organization is to be continued as it is at the present <br />time. <br />John Deming and Franklin Dales appeared before the Board <br />on the behalf of the Citizens of Orchid Island who had submitted <br />a petition requesting that the road leading into their Subdivision <br />be paved. After considerable discussion the Board requested that <br />the Administrator make every effort to do whatever he can to <br />improve the situation, and , that they would, at a later date <br />consider putting it on the priority list. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried that Mr. Alfred <br />Lane's compensation for taking care of the Courthouse grounds <br />be increased from $40.00 a month to $50.00 a month. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried the Administrator <br />was authorized to install a chain link fence for the Little <br />- League Baseball Field for the City of Fellsmere at a cost of <br />$840.00.
