The rule modifications require revisions to the subsurface storm
drain piping systems , the stormwater drainage ponds , and the swales located on the intersecting
side streets . The stormwater pond designs will be revised to provide for a dry retention treatment
area in each pond in order to satisfy the SJRWMD ' s requirement for phosphorus removal . The
stormwater piping system design will be modified to allow for discharge into the dry treatment
areas . The side street swale designs will be modified to provide for the phosphorus loading
criteria as well as the agencies drawdown criteria.
The SJRWMD has requested geotechnical test results to demonstrate the permeability rate of the
soils located within the side street swales and the pond sites .
