(j) For the small appliance load in kitchens, laundry areas, <br />pantries, dining areas and breakfast -rooms of dwelling occupancies, <br />one or more branch circuits shall be provided for all receptacle out- <br />lets (other than outlet for clock) in these rooms, and such circuits <br />shall have no other outlets thereon. The conductors for such circuits <br />shall be not smaller than 20 amp. capacity. The spacing and number <br />of receptacles per- circuit shall comply with the table in Section 26(g). <br />(k) Portable cords attached to music boxes, marble machines , <br />floor or table lamps and other similarequipment, shall not exceed <br />six feet in length when measured from the equipment to the outlet <br />supplying its current. Cords shall not be nailed down, tacked, or <br />held with strings or other supports, but shall be left free and clear. <br />(1) All stairways and parts of buildings under demolition, <br />erection or repair shall be adequately lighted while persons are engaged <br />at work. <br />(m) All electrical outlets used for portable. electrical tools <br />shall be provided with three wire polarized plugs, and all portable <br />electric tool cables shall be of the three -conductor type, and shall <br />be grounded in accordance with the National Electrical Code. <br />(n) All electrical switches, panels, wiring and'pther tempor- <br />ary electrical equipment shall be maintained in a safe and serviceable <br />condition by qualified electricians. Qualified electricians shall be <br />required to patrol installations when considered necessary by the <br />Electrical Inspector, for safety to life while in use by other trades. <br />All disconnect switches controlling temporary light and power, <br />except emergency lighting such as barricades and walkways shall, <br />when considered necessary by the Electrical Inspector for safety to <br />life and property, be locked in the "off" position where there is no <br />qualified electrician on the job. <br />(o) Separately metered conductors shall not be installed in <br />27 <br />FEB 2.11964 <br />k 11 f'A1t 33 <br />
