7 e <br />TY - <br />WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20, 1968 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County <br />Florida met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, <br />Florida on Wednesday, March 20, 1968, at 8:30 o'clock A. M. <br />Present were Robert W. Graves, Chairman; D. B..McCullers, Jr., <br />Vice Chairman; Donald Macdonald; Richard P. Bogosian and Jack V. <br />Dritenbas. Also present were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; <br />Sherman N. Smith, Jr.,. County Attorney and Alfred H. Webber and <br />Janet N. Burriss, Deputy Clerks. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and acknowledged Mr. <br />Milton Link who has purchased some land opposite of Oslo Road,mostly <br />river frontage and some ocean frontage, which he has the intention <br />of filling and subdividing into an exclusive housing area. Mr. <br />Link stated that he would like permission to fill and that there <br />existed a 250 foot easement which he would like to have moved to <br />the edge of the property. He also stated that there should be a <br />navigable channel around and through the fingers of the river. <br />The Administrator was authorized to contact the State Road Department <br />as to the moving of the easement and Mr. Link stated that he would <br />be willing to deed the property needed for the right-of-way to the <br />County. <br />Mr. Thomas H. Trent,Civi1 Defense Director, appeared before <br />the Board requesting permission to attend the Annual Meeting to <br />be held in Ocala in May. On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, <br />seconded by Commissioner Bogosian, permission for the Civil Defense <br />Director to attend the. Annual Meeting was unanimously granted. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bogosian the expenses of Thomas H. Trent, Civil Defense <br />Director to Florida Surplus Property in 'TSkwere unanimously <br />approved. <br />Mrs. Rosemary Richey, Supervisor of Elections appeared before <br />the Board with the cost difference between two aniDpriolks <br />on the voting machines.
