7 e TY - WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20, 1968 The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County Florida met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, Florida on Wednesday, March 20, 1968, at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present were Robert W. Graves, Chairman; D. B..McCullers, Jr., Vice Chairman; Donald Macdonald; Richard P. Bogosian and Jack V. Dritenbas. Also present were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; Sherman N. Smith, Jr.,. County Attorney and Alfred H. Webber and Janet N. Burriss, Deputy Clerks. The Chairman called the meeting to order and acknowledged Mr. Milton Link who has purchased some land opposite of Oslo Road,mostly river frontage and some ocean frontage, which he has the intention of filling and subdividing into an exclusive housing area. Mr. Link stated that he would like permission to fill and that there existed a 250 foot easement which he would like to have moved to the edge of the property. He also stated that there should be a navigable channel around and through the fingers of the river. The Administrator was authorized to contact the State Road Department as to the moving of the easement and Mr. Link stated that he would be willing to deed the property needed for the right-of-way to the County. Mr. Thomas H. Trent,Civi1 Defense Director, appeared before the Board requesting permission to attend the Annual Meeting to be held in Ocala in May. On a Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian, permission for the Civil Defense Director to attend the. Annual Meeting was unanimously granted. On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian the expenses of Thomas H. Trent, Civil Defense Director to Florida Surplus Property in 'TSkwere unanimously approved. Mrs. Rosemary Richey, Supervisor of Elections appeared before the Board with the cost difference between two aniDpriolks on the voting machines. After inn * le discussion, a Motion was
