<br />TUESDAY, JU10 4th, 1929:
<br />The Board of County Commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met at
<br />the Court House in Vero Beach, on Tuesday, June 4th 1929, at 10 o'clock A.M.with the
<br />following members of the Board present: Albert 0. Helseth, chairman; J. D. Yongue;
<br />J. W. ZaBruce; J. J. P. Hamilton and John H. Atkin. Also present were Miles Warren,
<br />Clerk and Clark S. Rice, Meriff.
<br />The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
<br />The Tax Collector filed his monthly report of licenses collected showing ;16.50
<br />collected for the State and $8.25 collected for the County.
<br />The following resolution was offered by commissioner J. D. Yongue:
<br />"June 4, 1929 .
<br />0OUBTY CORZI.SSIONEERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,. FLORIDA.
<br />BE IT RE 3OLVED
<br />1. That all employees of Indian River County, Florida,: report to the County Uommissio
<br />ers of Indian River County, Florida, once every six ( 6) months, to take effect with the
<br />passage of this Resolution, and the signing of owe,
<br />20 That no County Commissioner of Indian River County, Florida, shall be employed on
<br />arg County road or ark County bridge district, where the County's funds paythe bills,
<br />3. That no County Commissioner of Indian River County, Florida,_ can sell, "trade or do
<br />business with Indian River County, Flerida, if he is in any way connected with the fimn
<br />or business that is transacting business with this County.
<br />4, That all books of Indian River County, Florida, be audited by a State Auditor, or
<br />other competent auditor, and a full and complete rep o rt of all notes and securities be
<br />published in full, showing all t ransactions in -J' -fall. between the County of Indian River
<br />and the Bank of Sebastian, the County of Indian River and the Farmers Bank of Ver©"Beach
<br />and the County of Indian River and the Vero Beach Bank & Trust Company, to-gether~with
<br />a report in full showing the disposition of this County's money in any and all transact-
<br />ions.
<br />5. That inasmuch as the county of Indian River Florida, is not doing arty work in
<br />particular at this time, that we, as County Commissioners of Indian River County,Florida,
<br />put on a Road Superintendent at not less than X3150,00 a month, and not more than 4200.00
<br />a month, and that when it is necessary to secure the services of an Engineer, that the
<br />County Coxmnissioners of this County engage the services of such Engineer and pay him for
<br />the
<br />work he -does and
<br />the time
<br />he
<br />makes.

<br />by the Clerk of the :Board df."County Commissioners of
<br />this County, WITHOUT EXTRA COMPENSATION, and in each case each man sign for same in a
<br />Book, and this Book be handed to the County Commissioners each month for their inspection
<br />and approval.

<br />W. T. Jones appeared before the Board regarding Railroad crossing ,just North of
<br />over -pass on State Road #4. After discussion Mr, Jones agreed to execute agreement
<br />with the Railroad company for private crossing at this point.
<br />Mrs. Ella Goodrich of Roseland appeared before the Board regarding dengerous
<br />corner at Roseland. It was ordered that Commissioner Yongue and County Engineer l,eisher
<br />inspect and put in condition.
<br />Mrs Lucy M. Baird representing the Welfare Workers appeared before the Board
