On a Motion made by Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner <br />Macdonald the request of Bernie St. Pierre for a refund of $18.50 <br />on Building Permits, one of which he had obtained in November, 1967 <br />and not used and a new one to replace it, was unanimously denied. <br />Upon Motion made by Commissioner Macdonald, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 68- 46 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County <br />resolves: <br />1. That in order to permit themaintenance improvement of State <br />Road 507 in this county in accordance with the provisions set forth in a letter <br />from Arnold Ramos, District Engineer of the State Road Department of Florida <br />to the County Administrator dated May 9, 1968, the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners does herewith acknowledge and agree with the State Road Department <br />of Florida that there will be obtained by gift, purchase or eminent domain pro- <br />ceeding a right of way for the use and benefit of the State Road Department of <br />Florida for State Road 507 extending from the right of way of the Trans -Florida <br />Central Railway north to the north county line in order that said right of way <br />shall be 80 feet in width, that is, in addition to the present platted and dedicated <br />right of way of 30 feet, the county will obtain at its expense an additional right <br />of way of 25 feet on the east side and 25 feet on the west side and that all of the <br />same will be obtained by the county prior to the primary road construction <br />work of said road by the State Road Department presently estimated to be done <br />in the year 1970. <br />2. In exchange for this firm commitment on behalf of the county, <br />• <br />the county requests that the maintenance work as outlined in the above letter <br />of May 9 be promptly undertaken with this assurance from the county that it <br />will obtain all of the required 80 foot right of way prior to the time that it is <br />needed for the primary road construction work. <br />3. As further security for this pledge to obtain said right of way, <br />the State Road Department is hereby requested to use any and all funds now or <br />hereafter in the hands of the State Road Department to be used as prescribed <br />by regulations of said department within this county for the future cost of the <br />acquisition of said right of way. <br />AUG 7 1961 <br />
