Indian River County Sector 3 Phase 2 - Construction Phase Services <br /> Scope of Work <br /> ■ conduct "Nearshore Hardbottom Edge Mapping" from ( R-26 to R -60) in the post-Phase 2 Project <br /> fill area, and <br /> ® analyze the transects and aerial photography and prepare a summary report including : <br /> ( a) a comparison with statistical analyses of the pre and post construction hardbottom <br /> exposure including net loss/gain of hardbottom, <br /> (b) sand volume and distribution changes , <br /> (c) an assessment of hardbottom impacts attributable to the Project, natural processes , and <br /> other effects including recent "treasure-salvage" operations , as observed on monitoring <br /> transects or along the landward edge of hardbottom . <br /> CSA and COASTAL TECH will meet with the COUNTY to review and identify any changes <br /> warranted in the summary report . After such changes are made by CSA and COASTAL TECH, <br /> COASTAL TECH will forward the summary report to FDEP in partial fulfillment of permit <br /> conditions . <br /> Task 9 — Post-Phase 2 Construction UMAM Analysis of Hardbottom Impacts : Based upon the <br /> assessment of hardbottom impacts and the monitoring report prepared under Task 8 , COASTAL <br /> TECH will conduct a Uniform Mitigation Assessment Methodology (UMAM ) analysis, pursuant to <br /> Chapter 62-345 , F. A . C . The UMAM analysis will include qualitative descriptions of impacted <br /> communities and associated ecological functions, and quantitative estimates of the extent of impacts . <br /> COASTAL TECH will confer with FDEP staff during the undertaking and upon completion of the <br /> UMAM analysis in order to determine what mitigation, if any, the COUNTY may be required to <br /> perform. The UMAM spreadsheets , in addition to supporting documentation, will be provided in <br /> hard copy and digital format to the COUNTY for review prior to submittal to FDEP. <br /> Page 8 of 8 <br /> October 4, 2010 <br /> Revised April 13, 2011 <br />
