On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner Loy and unanimously carried the Memorandum from Governor Kirk regarding the flying of flags at half mast, was received and ordered filed in the office of the Clerk. The Administrator reported that the State Road Department has established a speed zone of 55 miles per hour for passenger cars and 45 miles per hour for trucks on State Road 60 between Lateral A and 50th Avenue. The Administrator reported that 10 new trucks have been budgeted for 1969 and he felt that if these were advertised for bidding at one time there would be a considerable savings involved. The list of units is as follows: 2 new four yard dump type trucks 2 new flat bed dump type trucks 3 one ton service type trucks without bodies 3 one half ton pick up trucks There would be six trade-in units. Upon a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried the Administrator was authorized to advertise for the above equipment. On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried the Administrator was authorized to advertise for a mobile two-way radio at an approximate cost of $1,000.00. On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Massey, the Chairman's appointment of Commissioner Bogosian as the County Laison Officer to the Florida Outdoor Recreational Planning Council was unanimously approved. On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner McCullers, the Chairman's appointment of Commissioner Loy as Indian River County Laison Officer to the Pioneer Occupational Center was unanimously approved. On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner Massey, Commissioner Loy was unanimously appointed as Laison Officer to the Indian River County Library Board.
