On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by <br />Commissioner Loy and unanimously carried the Memorandum from <br />Governor Kirk regarding the flying of flags at half mast, was <br />received and ordered filed in the office of the Clerk. <br />The Administrator reported that the State Road Department has <br />established a speed zone of 55 miles per hour for passenger cars <br />and 45 miles per hour for trucks on State Road 60 between Lateral A <br />and 50th Avenue. <br />The Administrator reported that 10 new trucks have been budgeted <br />for 1969 and he felt that if these were advertised for bidding at one <br />time there would be a considerable savings involved. The list of <br />units is as follows: <br />2 new four yard dump type trucks <br />2 new flat bed dump type trucks <br />3 one ton service type trucks without bodies <br />3 one half ton pick up trucks <br />There would be six trade-in units. Upon a Motion made by Commissioner <br />McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian and unanimously carried <br />the Administrator was authorized to advertise for the above equipment. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and unanimously carried the Administrator was authorized to <br />advertise for a mobile two-way radio at an approximate cost of $1,000.00. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey, the Chairman's appointment of Commissioner Bogosian <br />as the County Laison Officer to the Florida Outdoor Recreational <br />Planning Council was unanimously approved. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers, the Chairman's appointment of Commissioner Loy as Indian <br />River County Laison Officer to the Pioneer Occupational Center was <br />unanimously approved. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey, Commissioner Loy was unanimously appointed as Laison Officer <br />to the Indian River County Library Board. <br />BOOK 12 PAGE '71 <br />JAN 8 1969 <br />
