CLARIFICATIONS / CORRECTIONSMESTIONS AND RESPONSES <br /> The following questions (with responses ) were received after Addendum No . 1 was prepared and mailed <br /> out on November 9th, 2012 : <br /> QUESTION NO. 1 <br /> On the itemized bid schedule, sheet 00310-9, are bid items 455433-3 & 460-704 the same as those <br /> listed on sheet 0031044? Please advise . <br /> ANSWER NO. 1 . <br /> This question was answered in Addendum No 1 . <br /> QUESTION NO. 2 <br /> How are the pipe supports for the utilities on the bridges to be paid for? ( Please see detail on sheet 13- <br /> 14 ) <br /> ANSWER NO. 2 <br /> The pipe supports/saddle are to be included in the cost of pipe . Please refer to sheet SK4 included as <br /> part of the subject Addendum for a detail of the saddle to be constructed . <br /> QUESTION NO. 3 <br /> Do the pipe supports occur at all of the bridge crossings where the utilities are attached to the utility <br /> shelf? They are not referenced on the utility or bridge drawings except as noted on 1344. <br /> ANSWER NO. 3 <br /> Pipe supports and tie-down straps are required at all utility crossings. Please refer to attached sheet <br /> SK- 1 . <br /> QUESTION NO. 4 <br /> What is the depth of the piling for the aerial crossing as shown on sheet UT-05 ? <br /> ANSWER NO. 4 <br /> The pile penetration below the canal bottom shall be 154eet minimum . A minimum load capacity of <br /> 20 tons per pile is required . Signed and sealed shop drawings submitted by the contractor are <br /> required . <br /> QUESTION NO. 5 <br /> What is the width of the cap beam at the aerial crossing on page UT-05 ? <br /> ANSWER NO. 5 <br /> The minimum width of the cap beam should be 28- inches . <br /> QUESTION NO. 6 <br /> Can the 4" force main on sheet UT47 be isolated during the bridge construction ?
