WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 1969 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County,Florida <br />met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach,Florida on <br />Wednesday, February 5, 1969 at 8:30 o'clock A. M. Present were <br />Jack U. Dritenbas, Chairman; Richard P. Bogosian, Vice Chairman; <br />D. B McCullers, Jr.; Alma Lee Loy and Edward J. Massey. Also present <br />were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; Sherman N. Smith, Jr., <br />County Attorney; Alfred H. Webber and Janet N. Burriss, Deputy Clerks',, <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and asked if there were <br />any corrections or additions to the Minutes of January 22 and <br />January 27. There were none and upon a Motion made by Commissioner <br />McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Loy and unanimously carried, the <br />Minutes of January 22 and January 27th were approved as written. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner. <br />Bogosian, the request of the City of Sebastian for the use of County;, <br />Equipment in preparing the grounds of the Little League Ball Diamond,, <br />owned b' the Indian River County School Board, in Sebastian was <br />unanimously approved. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey, the request of James McDowell, Athletic Director of the Vero <br />Beach High School, that approximately three loads of marl be furnished <br />for the physical education playing area, owned by the Indian River <br />County School Board, was unanimously approved. <br />James S. Lowery of Riverside Estates Subdivision appeared before( <br />the Board and offered the donation of a small parcel of land in, the <br />Estates for the purpose of making a public boatramp. A Motion was <br />made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and <br />unanimously carried that the County accept this parcel of land and <br />that the County Attorney is requested to prepare the proper papers <br />for the transaction. <br />Hu 1.2 pAGE11I <br />FEB51969 <br />
