The County Attorney advised Mr. Lowery that this Board has no control over the situation, and advised Mr. Lowery to appeal to the Legislative Delegation who established the District and established its boundaries. The question arose as to whcmthe residents of Ocean Air Heights Subdivision would call in case of fire. It was suggested that they call the Vero Beach Fire Department who would relay_ the message to the proper authorities. Leslie Crain, United States Geological Survey, appeared reporting on the progress of the water resources study. Mr. Crain reported that up until this time a good part of his time had been spent on well inventory, that over a period of three years there would be various and many types of tests after which there would be a detailed report on the survey. Donald Macdonald and G. B. Britton appeared, and Mr. Crain answered the questions asked of him. On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Loy, the recommendation of the Administrator that the low bid of Schlitt Brothers) for the painting of the Ambulance Building at a cost of $1,200.00 was unanimously accepted A Motion was made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Loy and unanimously carried that Gladys Vigliano be reappointed as County Welfare Caseworker, that Forrest McCullars be reappointed as County Agricultural Agent and that George Stokes be reappointed as County Service 0 fficer. On a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried, applications would be taken for Civil Defense Director until March 5; and that action will be taken on March 19, 1969. A Road Resolution and proposed typical section received from the State Road Department were referred to the Administrator.
