RESOLUTION NO. 69-17 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, resolves: <br />1. Resolution No. 68-5 relating to Indian River County animals is <br />herewith amended in the following respects, to -wit: <br />(a) Whenever the date April 30 appears in said Resolution, <br />that date is changed to May 31. <br />(b) Adding a new section following Section 5 to become <br />Section 6 and renumber all of the subsequent sections, which said <br />additional section shall be as follows: <br />"6. The Sheriff of Indian River County, Florida, <br />is hereby appointed and designated as impounding officer <br />of Indian River County, Florida, in addition to the im- <br />pounding officers hereinafter named. The Sheriff and his <br />deputies are hereby authorized to receive, catch, pick up <br />and impound any animal running or roaming at large or <br />believed to be a stray and any dog not vaccinated, certified <br />or tagged in accordance with law and this Resolution, and <br />to receive, catch, pick up and impound any animal believed <br />to have rabies or other infectious or contagious disease <br />and to deliver any such animal to the Humane Society of <br />Vero Beach, Inc." <br />2.
