J. Schumann, who on oath <br />says that he is Business Manager of the Vero Beach Press -Journal, a weekly newspaper <br />published at Vero Beach in Indian River County, Florida; that the attached copy of advertise- <br />ment, being a <br />in the matter of ri kW -LA) !SO - <br />in the Court, was pub- <br />lished in said newspaper in the issues of <br />Affiant further says that the said Vero Beach Press Journal is a newspaper published at <br />Vero Beach, in said Indian River County, and that the said newspaper has heretofore <br />been continuously published in said Indian River County, Florida, weekly and has been entered <br />as second class mail matter at the post office in Vero Beach, in said Indian River County, Florida <br />for a period of one year next preceeding the first publication of the attached copy of adver- <br />tisement; and affiant further says that he has neither paid nor promised any person, firm or <br />corporation any discount, rebate, commission or refund for the purpose of securing this adver- <br />tisement for publication in the said newspaper. <br />Swom to and subscribed before me this_______ day of__ <br />(SEAL) <br />(Business Manager) <br />(Clerk of the -Circuit Court, Indian River County, Florida) <br />NOTICE <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN <br />that Urban `Development Utilities. <br />Inc., the holder of a franchise for <br />water and sewer service in a por- <br />tion of Indian River County, Florida. <br />as set forth in Resolution No. 69-2 <br />adopted by the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, has notified said Board in <br />writing of its desire to increase the <br />schedule of rates authorized to be <br />charged and collected as set forth <br />in Section 14 of the Franchise, in <br />order that the Franchise holder <br />shall have authority to charge and <br />collect not to exceed the following <br />schedule of rates which shall re- <br />main effective until changed or <br />modified as provided in said Fran- <br />chise, to -wit: <br />' MONTHLY SEWER RATES <br />Single Family Dwelling: <br />With one bathroom $4.25 flat rate <br />For each additional bathroom <br />1.00 flat rate <br />Commercial Building: <br />75',t of the water rate <br />All other items on the schedule <br />of rates shall remain the same. <br />A public hearing will be held on <br />this request by the Board of Coun- <br />ty Commissioners in the Commis- <br />sioners' Room, Indian River Coun- <br />ty Courthouse, on May 7th, 1969, at <br />ten o'clock a.m. at which all parties <br />of interest will be heard. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COM- <br />MISSIONERS OF INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY <br />By Jack U. Dritenbas, <br />Chairman <br />April 24, 1969. <br />Mr. Samuel Hunter, president of Urban Development Utilities, <br />Inc. then appeared before the Board reporting that adjustments <br />have been made to consumers who have made overpayments as required <br />in the minutes of April 9, 1969. Mr. Hunter also reported that <br />the proposed fee of $4.25 for water and 4.25 for sewer were the <br />proposed figures of the Farmer's Home Administration in the <br />amortization of the loan. He stated also that the number of <br />member consumers have exceeded original figure expected and that <br />there is a possibility that rates could be reduced at the end <br />of the year; the present rates of $4.25 required by the Farmer's <br />Home Administration for the period of a year. <br />Some members of the Urban Development Utilities, Inc. from <br />the Pineview Subdivision appeared and Mr. Hunter explained the 0 <br />circumstances to them.hTlx <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner !cCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey,the following Resolution was unanimously <br />
