On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner <br />Loy and unanimously carried the Clerk was instructed to write a <br />letter of intent to the School Board that the Clerk will place <br />in the County Commissioners Budget a sum of $110,000.00 from <br />Race Track Monies to the School Board for the purpose of payment <br />of commissions on taxes levied and collected on their behalf. <br />Mr. Thompson also requested that some road work be done at <br />Middle School in the +Gifford area. On a Motion made by Commissioner <br />Loy, seconded by Commissioner Massey and unanimously carried the <br />Board approves the plan for road work to be done relating to the <br />hew Indian River Middle School located on the North. Gifford Road, <br />in accordance with the plans submitted by the County School Board, <br />with the understanding that the work will be done by County Forces <br />and that the School Board will reimburse the County for the cost <br />up to $4,500.00. <br />Fred Prestin, Civil Defense Director, appeared before the <br />Board, reporting on Civil Defense progress, and requesting the <br />purchase of a new F M Radio at a cost of $900.00 to $1,000.00. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Bogosian and unanimously carried that the Board advertise for bids <br />for radio equipment for the Civil Defense Department in accordance <br />with the specifications to be prepared by the Director. <br />Frank Zorc appeared before the Board in regard to two streets <br />in Sun Crest Terrace Subdivision. On a Motion made by Commissioner <br />Massey, seconded by Commissioner Bogosian, it was unanimously <br />carried that the County definitely approves the request of Frank <br />Zorc and wife to abandon the street existing between lots A and F <br />on the North, between lots A & 13, and the street between lots <br />F & 12as shown on -the plat, Sun Crest Terrace, Unit #1, Plat Book 8, <br />Page 1, and directs publication of notice of public hearing, provided, <br />however, that the County shall retain an easement 12 feet wide on. <br />either side of the center line of the two parts of the two streets <br />abandoned for location of drainage facilities and utility services. <br />JUL s 19696N .2 rat229 <br />
