William Orth of the Indian River Flying Service, Inc. appeared <br />before the Board in regard to zoning in the area of their airport. <br />Mr. Orth was instructed to submit an application to the Indian <br />River County Zoning Board. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey and unanimously carried that at the recommendation of the <br />Administrator, the low bid of Indian River Farm Supply Company <br />for the 306 Rotary Mower in the amount of $495.00 was accepted. <br />The Administrator stated that he would have his recommendation <br />for the tractor ready for the next meeting. <br />The Administrator reported that an air conditioner has been <br />purchased for the Unemployment Office in the Welfare Building. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Loy , seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey it was unanimously carried that the Administrator be authorized <br />to purchase an air conditioner for the Welfare Office. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner <br />Massey, the following Resolution was unanimously adopted: <br />resolves: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69- 34 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florid <br />1. That this Board has determined that it is necessary in the <br />interest of public safety to have installed traffic control signals at the inter- <br />section of State Road 60 and Northwest 43rd Avenue and atthe intersection of <br />State Road 60 and Northwest 42nd Avenue, and this Board does request the <br />State Road Department to install said traffic control signals. <br />2. That this Board does hereby agree to accept the responsibility <br />for the electric service charges and continuous maintenance of the above <br />traffic control systems. <br />oak 12 PGE23O <br />JUL 91969 <br />
