• <br />WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 1969 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida met in regular session at the Courthouse, Vero Beach, <br />Florida on Wednesday, September 10, 1969 at 8:30 o'clock A. M. <br />Present were Jack U. Dritenbas, Chairman; Richard P. Bogosian, <br />Vice Chairman; D. B. McCullers, Jr.; Alma Lee Loy and Edward J. <br />Massey. Also present were Jack G. Jennings, County Administrator; <br />Thomas Thatcher, acting as County Attorney; Alfred H. Webber and <br />Janet N. Turpan, Deputy Clerks. Absent was Sherman N. Smith, Jr. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and asked if there <br />were any additions or corrections to the minutes of August 20. <br />There were none and upon Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, <br />seconded by Commissioner Loy the minutes of August 20 were unanimously <br />approved as written. <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions or corrections <br />to the minutes of August 29. There were none and upon a Motion <br />made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Loy, the <br />minutes of August 29 were unanimously approved as written. <br />The Chairman then asked if there were 'any additions or corrections <br />to the minutes of September 3. There were none and upon a Motion <br />made by Commissioner Loy, seconded by Commissioner Massey, the <br />minutes of September 3 were unanimously approved as written. <br />Walter Jackson and other members of the Progressive Civic <br />League of Gifford appeared before the Board with the following <br />requests: <br />1. Request the paving of 43rd Street from old U. S. ##1 to <br />28th Avenue. <br />2. Extending sidewalks to Pineview Park. <br />3. Need school patrol and traffic signals. <br />4. That the junk cars were again piling up in the area. <br />5. That dogs were becoming a nuisance. <br />The Administrator advised the members of the League that he would <br />research the needs on the paving of the street and the sidewalks, <br />SES' 1 0 1969 <br />1,4 <br />
