4 <br />• <br />and report his findings to the Board for further action;'that the <br />matter of the traffic signals was a matter for the State Department <br />of Transportation and that he had received a letter that bids are <br />to be received on school traffic signals for all of Indian River <br />County on September 25; and that the County would be glad to work <br />with them on the problem, of the junk cars. <br />B. T. Cooksey, Attorney, appeared before the Board in behalf <br />of the East Shore'Constructors, Inc. in regard to a zoning change. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner <br />McCullers and advertisement for public hearing for a zoning change <br />requested by East Shore Constructors, Inc. was unanimously authorized. <br />On a Motion made by Commissioner McCullers, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey, the request of Attorney Kenneth Sharp for a <br />zoning change in behalf of McKee Sexton Land Company, was unanimously <br />authorized for advertisement of public hearing. <br />A letter was received from Oliver Armstead, Chairman of the <br />Oslo Neighborhood Planning Council in regard to traffic regulation <br />on Oslo Road during the hours of the loading of school buses. Mr. <br />Armstead and other members of the Council appeared in regard to the <br />situation. The Council was informed that Oslo Road is a State Road <br />and that any,traffic regulation of the road would need approval of <br />the State Department of. Transportation, that the Administrator <br />would again approach the State Department on behalf of the Citizens <br />of the Council, on traffic regulation on Oslo Road during the hours <br />of school bus loading. That any matter appertaining to the area <br />to be used for a school bus stop should be taken up with the School <br />Board; the Citizens were also reminded that a certain responsibility <br />for the small children, at least until a more regulatory system <br />could be set up, would be with the parents, themselves, and that <br />any patrol requirements could only be obtained from the Department <br />of the Sheriff. <br />SEP a` 0 196 <br />FJFk <br />
