The Administrator <br />reported that before the rates were to go into effect, the State <br />Board of Health was to have approved the system, the engineer of <br />the project was to have written an approval and one was to have <br />been obtained from the governing body which sponsored the loan. <br />The Administrator reported that he had investigated the marl <br />pit on the Wingate property and found that marl had previously been <br />removed from the pit, and that it was difficult to ascertain if <br />there were still marl there, therefore he recommended that the offer <br />be denied. On a Motion made by Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by <br />Commissioner Massey, it was unanimously carried that the proposal <br />for sale of marl to the County by George Collins, Attorney for Mrs. <br />Wingate, be denied and that Mr. Collins be advised to this effect. <br />A request was received from Francis T. O'Brien, Indian River <br />Memorial Hospital, requesting the use of the County equipment to <br />remove brush from the proposed parking lot. A Motion was made by <br />A <br />Commissioner McCullers, seconded by Commissioner Massey and unanimously <br />carried that the request of Indian River Memorial Hospital for use <br />of County equipment for clearing the proposed parking lot be approved. <br />Gordon Wagner, East Central Florida Planning Council appeared <br />before the Board and spoke on the proposed program for the 1969- <br />1970 term. <br />Robert Jennings, Sanitary Engineer of the Indian River County <br />Unit of the State Health Department appeared before the Board in <br />regard to the list of recommendations concerning sanitary septic <br />tanks submitted in the minutes of August 29. A Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner Loy and unanimously <br />carried that the Board received the report of the sub -committee <br />on septic tank recommendations and instructed the Clerk to forward <br />the report to the State Board of Health. <br />The Administrator reported that he had received two proposals <br />to the County for the removal• of junk cars from the pgigaye'8 <br />1. Gordon L. Chaffee, Fort Pierce, will process and remove all <br />junk cars and all cars that are delivered to the area at no <br />cost to the County. Has posted a check for $500.00 which will <br />be returned upon the completion of the work. <br />
