• <br />Richard Starr, Regional Sanitary Engineer, State Board of <br />Health appeared before the Board and reported that the discoloration <br />of the water as supplied by Urban Development Utilities was due to <br />the high content of iron; but that regardless of the color, the <br />water was potable. Mr. Starr stated that the best solution to this <br />problem would be to put in an aeration system, which,by the time <br />the system met Federal Housing approval, would take approximately <br />six months. Mr. Starr suggested that the Board and he should meet <br />with Urban Development Utilities. Curtis Hunter and Reverend James <br />Farr appeared regarding the condition of the Urban Development <br />Utilities sewerage plant; and Reverend Henson questioned if the <br />County had considered consolidation of these water systems and <br />the County furnishing the water. After some discussion, it was <br />decided that the Administrator, Mr. Starr and anyone else who is <br />interested would go on an inspection tour of the Urban Development <br />Utilities Sewerage Disposal Plant on Saturday morning at 9:00 <br />o'clock A. M. <br />Miles B. Mank II, County Judge, appeared before the Board in <br />regard to needed additional space in the Courthouse or in the Annex. <br />The. Administrator was requested to bring some previouslydrawn plans <br />of the top floor of the Courthouse Annextothe next regular <br />Commissioner's Meeting; as well as a statement from the Building <br />Department in regard to the temporary plans presented by Homer C. <br />Fletcher, County Tax Assessor for a mapping room. <br />Bud Dalrymple appeared before the Board in regard to the <br />Dalrymple Subdivision. The County Administrator presented a <br />tentative plat of a Subdivision: known as Dalrymple Subdivision and <br />recommended its tentative approval as meeting County Subdivision <br />Requirements. Upon a Motion made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried the recommended <br />tentative approval was given for the. Dalrymple.
