B. As a minimum, perform maintenance monthly. Take special care to not disturb <br />birds, nests, or other wildlife. <br />C. Compost material from Egret Marsh Stormwater Park's composting operations will <br />be provided free of charge for maintenance use, as the compost material is <br />available. <br />D. NOTE: This stormwater park is designed to attract wildlife. <br />3.4 FIVE-YEAR EXOTIC ELIMINATION PERIOD <br />A. Beginning on the date of final acceptance by the OWNER, destroy all existing <br />and future exotic plants on the Egret Marsh Site for a period of five years. As a <br />minimum, perform exotic elimination monthly. Kill all exotics at the Egret Marsh <br />Site using methods approved by both the OWNER and St. Johns River Water <br />Management District (SJRWMD) (i.e. hand remove or lightly spray with <br />SJRWMD approved herbicides) and keep the areas free of exotics. Take special <br />care to not disturb birds, nests, or other wildlife. NOTE: This stormwater park is <br />designed to attract wildlife. <br />3.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGUARDING EXOTIC ELIMINATION AND <br />REMOVAL <br />A. In addition to cattails and other plants normally considered to be exotics by the <br />industry, all of the plants in the following attachment "Upland and Wetland Invasive <br />Exotics" (11 pages) shall be eliminated and removed from the Project Site. <br />3.6 TEMPORARY IRRIGATION SYSTEM FOR MAINTAINING LANDSCAPE <br />WARRRANTIES; <br />A. Contractor shall design, furnish, install, and maintain a temporary irrigation system <br />or provide other means to water and maintain the specified landscape <br />items/planting areas during the above warranty periods. Contractor may use any <br />site ponds for water source and electrical source as may be shown on the electrical <br />plans and as approved by the ENGINEER. Temporary facilities shall not conflict <br />with the ATS operations and maintenance requirements.
