Contact SJRWMD at ( 321 ) 9844940 to determine which <br /> permit is required and the associated statutory requirements ; <br /> 2 . SJRWMD RDS-50 Permit ( required ) ; <br /> 3 . The State of Florida Generic Permit for Stormwater Discharge From Large <br /> and Small Construction Activities ( required ) . Contact the Florida <br /> Department of Environmental Protection ( FDEP ) at (866 ) 336-6312 (toll <br /> free ) or ( 850 ) 245- 7522 or www . dep . state . fl . us/water/stormwater/npdes/ <br /> 4 . FDEP ' s Uncontaminated Groundwater Release Permit ( required if <br /> dewatering occurs ) . This permit requires water quality testing by a State <br /> certified laboratory . <br /> B . Provide copies of all permits to the OWNER and ENGINEER and comply with all <br /> conditions contained in all permits at no extra cost to the OWNER . If there is a conflict <br /> between any permit requirement and these Specifications , the more stringent <br /> specification or requirement shall govern . <br /> C . In addition to paying for all permit fees , CONTRACTOR shall also pay for all water <br /> quality sampling and laboratory tests required by any permit . <br /> 1 . 3 GENERAL <br /> A . Do not begin any other construction work until the pollution control and <br /> treatment system has been constructed in accordance with approved plans and <br /> permits and approved for use by the OWNER and applicable permitting <br /> authorities . <br /> B . From time to time , the OWNER or ENGINEER will inspect the pollution control and <br /> treatment system and may take effluent samples for analysis by a testing laboratory <br /> selected and paid for by the OWNER . If at any time , the OWNER or ENGINEER <br /> determines that the pollution control and treatment system is not in compliance with <br /> the approved system , the OWNER or ENGINEER will shut the portion of the project <br /> down that is not in compliance , and it shall remain shut-down until the pollution <br /> control and treatment system is properly constructed or repaired , and complies with <br /> the approved pollution control and treatment system plans and specifications . <br /> C . Schedule construction to minimize erosion and stormwater runoff from the <br /> construction site . Implement erosion control measures on disturbed areas as soon <br /> as practicable in portions of the site where construction activities have temporarily or <br /> permanently ceased , but in no case more than 7 days after the construction activity <br /> in that portion of the site has temporarily or permanently ceased . In addition to <br /> other temporary erosion control measures that may be implemented , application of <br /> polyacrylamide is required on all such disturbed areas within 7 days after the <br /> construction activity in that portion of the site has temporarily or permanently <br /> ceased , unless final landscaping has been installed . Polyacrylamide application <br /> shall be as specified herein . <br /> D . Inspect each pollution control system at least once per day and after each rainfall <br /> event . Clean and maintain each pollution control system as required by its <br /> manufacturer or the OWNER , until the system is no longer needed .
