i < <br /> The Department will base payment for equipment furnished under purchase f " <br /> contracts on satisfactory completion of the visual inspection and operational tests required by <br /> 611 - 7 . 1 . � <br /> Before any payment will be made for each functional group , deliver to the <br /> Engineer and receive from the Engineer acceptance of all units of each functional group of <br /> equipment required to be furnished by the Contract Documents . The Department will make <br /> It I separate payment for a staged delivery of each functional group of equipment only when staged <br /> delivery is specified in the Contract Documents . <br /> 611 -7.3 Equipment Failing to Pass Acceptance Tests : <br /> When any unit of equipment fails to pass the acceptance tests , correct the <br /> deficiencies (by repair or replacement) , at no expense (including all freight costs) to the <br /> Department, to attain compliance . If the original Contract Time has expired, the Department will <br /> charge and continue to assess liquidated damages in accordance with 8 - 10 until final acceptance <br /> of the equipment. Upon compliance with such correction requirements , the Engineer will <br /> perform tests on the equipment as specified above and will determine their eligibility for <br /> payment. <br /> } The Department will not assess liquidated damages during the acceptance test <br /> period in 611 - 7 . 1 . The Department will allow only one acceptance test exclusion with regard to <br /> liquidated damages assessment per lot of units required to be delivered. <br /> 635 PULL AND JUNCTION BOXES . <br /> (REV 7-2840) (FA 8-340) (1 - 11 ) <br /> ARTICLE 635 - 3 (Page 749) is deleted and the following substituted : <br /> 635-3 Pull Boxes Installation . <br /> Install pull boxes in accordance with the Design Standards , Index No . 17700 . Ensure that <br /> the pull box cover is flush with the finished grade or sidewalk. Do not install pull boxes in <br /> roadways , driveways , parking areas, ditches or public sidewalk curb ramps . <br /> 650 VEHICULAR SIGNAL ASSEMBLIES — INSTALLATION . <br /> (REV 647-09) (FA 648-09) (1 - 10) <br /> SUBARTICLE 650 - 3 . 7 (Page 761 ) is deleted and the following substituted : <br /> 650-3 . 7 Vertically Mounted Polycarbonate (Light-Weight) Signal Head Assemblies : <br /> The top section of all multi- section ( 5 - section, 3 - section) , vertically mounted, light- weight <br /> signal heads must be constructed of die cast aluminum, unless the entire 3 - section polycarbonate <br /> signal head assembly is specifically approved and listed on the APL as a 12" Polycarbonate <br /> 3 - Section Vehicle Assembly.
