M E M O R A N D U M <br />January 6, 1970 <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: The Elected Officials <br />In order to avoid confusion that always..stems from the <br />question concerning closing of offices in the Courthouse <br />for Holidays, we the undersigned Elected Officials, have <br />agreed among ourselves, that we shall observe the follow- <br />ing Holidays for 1970 in our respective offices. <br />We should like to have this made known to you, the <br />County Commission, at this time and we shall each make the <br />dates known to our staff: <br />March 27 <br />May 29 <br />July 3 <br />September 7 <br />November 11 <br />November 26 & 27 <br />December .24 & 25 <br />January 1, 1971 <br />1/2 Day in observance of Good Friday <br />All Day in observance of Memorial Day <br />All Day in observance of Independence Day <br />All Day in observance of Labor Day <br />All Day in observance of Veterans Day <br />2 Days in observance of Thanksgiving <br />1/2,Day on 24th, All Day on 25 in <br />observance of Christmas <br />All 4 in observance of New Year's Day. <br />The Administrator was requested to contact the elected officials <br />regarding the memorandum. <br />Joe Steinitz appeared before the Board in regard to a <br />drainage problem on 6th Avenue. <br />The Board then.adjourned at 12:20 o'clock P. M. and reconvened <br />at 2:00 o'clock P. M. <br />A Motion was made by Commissioner Massey, seconded by <br />Commissioner McCullers and unanimously carried that the request <br />of Summit Fidelity Company to compromise on estreature bonds <br />forfeited and due the County, be denied. <br />The Attorney to the Board requested that the Board review <br />any legislative matters of interest and plan to meet with <br />Ah 1970 <br />F,0ok a , . <br />
