F. J. Lembo and other members of the Sebastian Volunteer <br />Fire Department appeared before the Board. A Motion was made by <br />Commissioner Massey, seconded by Commissioner Loy and the following <br />Item to Item Transfer was unanimously approved: <br />ITEM TO ITEM TRANSFER <br />General Fund <br />Account To From <br />90196 Reserve for Contingencies $4,500.00 <br />68300.2 Sebastian Volunteer Fire Dept. $4,500.00 <br />$4,500.00 $4,500.00 <br />A meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, the County <br />Tax Assessor, the County Tax Collector, and Officials from all <br />of the Municipalities in`the County was scheduled for the next <br />regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners at 1:30 <br />o'clock for the purpose of establishing the percentage to be <br />paid by the municipalities to the Tax Assessor and to the Tax <br />Collector for tax assessment and tax collection of -property in the <br />municipalities by County Officials. <br />James L. Hair, Naturalist and Conservationist appeared before <br />the Board in regard to the renewal of SAJSP Permit 65-234 for <br />dredging in the Indian River. A Motion was made by Commissioner <br />Bogosian, seconded by Commissioner Loy and unanimously carried <br />that the Administrator be instructed to write a letter to the Corp. <br />of Engineers regarding Permit 65-234; that this Board has no <br />objection providing the channel and dredge and fill are done in <br />compliance with Resolution No. 68-16; that the Resolution is <br />enforced by the proper authorities and that all other State laws <br />regarding dredge and fill are observed. <br />Edwin Kohl, President, Economic Opportunities Council of <br />Indian River County appeared before the Board reporting that the <br />Directors of the Council had passed a Resolution at their meeting <br />on February 5 to support the Food Surplus Distribution Program. <br />Hazel Goodwin presented a petition signed by 871 perstpn,s fro <br />various areas of the County supporting the Program.
